Parents Together

Ongoing support group for parents or guardians of children who are currently exhibiting, or who have exhibited in the recent past, suicidal thoughts or behaviors. This free support group is led by trained NAMI volunteers and is a collaborative effort with several health organizations in Washtenaw County. The group meets on first Mondays of the month. Drop-ins are welcome and no registration is required.

NAMI Michigan Annual Conference

This year’s conference will focus on the many treatment and recovery options available, including therapy, medications, healthy living (diet and exercise), social determinants, and more. The conference is designed to improve understanding of mental health diagnoses and increase awareness and access to new evidenced-based treatments. The conference will also feature a panel discussion about what and how state and federal policy changes could impact the delivery of mental healthcare in Michigan. To purchase tickets, click here.

NAMI Faith Group

NAMI Faith Group combines scripture lessons, educational topics and a sharing time to promote support and spirituality in mental health. We believe that a person’s faith can play a positive role in their mental health experience. The group is open to adults living with mental health challenges and to anyone who wants to learn how to better support those living with a condition. There is no fee or registration required. Attendance is on a drop-in basis and each meeting will have a new lesson. NAMI Faith Group is inclusive and welcomes all religions and all people. Starting in June, meetings will be held on 4th Mondays of the month, 6:30–8:30 p.m. For information call 734-429-4730.

LEAP Workshop

LEAP (Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner) is an evidence-based program that teaches you how to create alliances that lead to treatment and recovery. It is a radically different approach to more effectively help individuals who live with mental health conditions and anosognosia (lack of insight).
