FEBRUARY 2019

Imagine this situation: A family member is suddenly experiencing a mental health crisis and you need to know how to help that person right away. NAMI has a Family-to-Family course but the next class is several weeks away. Where can you turn for the immediate assistance you need?

A new program coming to NAMI Washtenaw may be the answer: NAMI Family & Friends, a free 4-hour (or 90-minute) seminar that informs people who have loved ones with a mental health condition how best to support them.

The seminar is not quite ready for rollout in Washtenaw County, so you can’t sign up yet. But you can download the companion eBook, which provides a wealth of important information about mental health conditions, including symptoms and diagnoses, treatment and recovery, crisis planning, warning signs of relapse and more.

Look for this free download at Amazon and Barnes & Noble or download it directly to your computer or other device by clicking the links below:

Find more information about Family & Friends on the NAMI website. Stay tuned for an announcement about when NAMI Washtenaw will offer the seminar and how to sign up.
