Resilience Rally

This event, free of charge, is for early childhood professionals in Washtenaw County who want to learn to build resilience in young children and themselvesThe rally will include positive, fun connection activities that teach self-care skills and how to manage one’s own emotions and help others manage theirs. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and CEUs, available. REGISTER NOW as registration closes Feb. 15.

Parents Together

Ongoing support group for parents or guardians of children who are currently exhibiting, or who have exhibited in the recent past, suicidal thoughts or behaviors. This free support group is led by trained NAMI volunteers and is a collaborative effort with several health organizations in Washtenaw County. The group meets on first Mondays of the month. Drop-ins are welcome and no registration is required.

Family-to-Family
Spring classes are set to begin next month. Ann Arbor classes start on Tuesday, March 12, and Wednesday, March 13. A Chelsea class starts on Thursday, March 14. Advocacy Committee Meeting

If you’re interested in how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) affect mental health and how NAMI Washtenaw might promote better mental health in children who experience traumatic events, join us for the next meeting of the Advocacy Committee. We’ll discuss the focus of our project, agencies we could partner with, the development of personal stories, and other steps leading to a community event where we educate the public and advocate for policies promoting better mental health.

2019 NAMI Michigan Honors Black-Tie Gala

Join NAMI Michigan for this annual honors gala celebrating Michigan’s heroes of mental health. Tickets are $150 per person and include valet parking, hors d’oeuvres, cocktail hour with open bar, dinner, and live entertainment, in addition to the presentation of awards.
